The applications are invited by the Rural Development Department of Tripura for the post of Ombudsmen under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA. Interested candidates can apply before June 15, 2020.

Pay Scale: Rs 1000 per sitting with a maximum upper limit of Rs 20,000 per month
Qualification Required:
- The candidate should have ten years of experience in public administration, law, academics, social work, or management.
- No person who is a member of a political party shall be considered for appointment as Ombudsman.
- They should be physically active and capable of conducting field tours, inspection, and visits to remote locations in the districts.
- The person should be ordinarily resident of any of the two concerned districts.
- The person who has already served as Ombudsman shall not be eligible.
Few of the Responsibilities:
- The ombudsman has to consider such complaints and pass awards within 30 days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
- The ombudsman has to send a quarterly report to the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary/ Secretary, Rural Development Department recommending appropriate action.
