IBPS RRB 2024: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released a short notice for recruitment to various posts of Clerk and PO in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). According to the official notice the IBPS RRB Clerk, PO registration process will start tomorrow, June 07. Interested candidates will be able to apply for these posts by visiting the official website i.e. ibps.in.
This recruitment drive will fill the post of Office Assistant (Clerk), Officer Scale-I/PO (Assistant Manager) Officer Scale 2 (Manager), and Office Scale 3 (Senior Manager) under the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of IBPS and NABARD situated across the country. Last year 8000+ vacancies were notified by the IBPS. This year we can also expect a similar number of vacancies.
IBPS RRB 2024: Selection Process
The selection process for IBPS RRB positions varies depending on the role:
Officer Assistant and Clerk: These roles involve a two-stage selection - process consisting of a Preliminary exam and a main exam.
Officer Scale I (PO): This role requires candidates to clear all three stages: The preliminary exam, the main exam, and a final Interview round.
Officer Scale-II & III: These positions are filled through a single online exam called the IBPS Officer Grade II Exam, followed by an Interview.
IBPS RRB 2024: Educational Qualification
Clerk -Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
PO (Assistant Manager) - Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
Officer Scale 2 General Banking Officer (Manager) - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and two years experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Officer Scale 2 Specialist Officers (Manager) IT Officer - Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
CA - Certified Associate (CA) and worked for one year as a Chartered Accountant.
Law Officer - Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and Two years as an advocate or should have worked as a Law Officer.
Treasury Manager - CA or MBA in Finance and worked one year in the relevant field.
Marketing Officer - MBA in Marketing from a recognized university and worked one year in the relevant.
Agricultural Officer - Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/
Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and worked two years in the relevant field.
Officer Scale 3 (Senior Manager) - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks
in aggregate and a minimum of 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial institution.
IBPS RRB 2024: Age Limit
- For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)- 21 to 40 years
- For Officer Scale-II (Manager)-21 to 32 years
- For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- 18 to 30 years
- For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) -18 to 28 years
