Govt. of Uttarakhand will conduct Uttarakhand Pre-Medical Exam 2014 (UPMT-2014) for the admission in state quota seats of Medical and Dental Programs (MBBS & BDS) of the session 2014-15. UPMT is scheduled to be conducted on May 18 this year.
Govind Ballabh Pant University, Panatnagar will conduct UPMT-2014 for admission in MBBS & BDS courses.
The students who are looking to make their career in Medical have the great opportunity to make their career in this stream. In a statement issued on its website it said that " The application forms will be available till 17/04/2014. The interested and eligible candidates can submit the dully filled application form till 21/04/2014.
Educational Qualification:
The candidates who wish to get admission must have Passed Intermediate or Equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English from recognized board and Candidate should have average of 50% of total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for General PH Candidates.
The candidates appearing for class 12 examination may also apply for the same. Candidates from other states may also apply but subjected to some conditions.

Examination Pattern :
UPMT Entrance exam will consist of a multiple choice question paper. The time allotted to answer the questions will be three hours. The candidates are required to finish their paper in the provided time limit. The question paper will carry questions based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects studied at HSC/10+2.
Age Limit :
The candidates must be aged between 17 to 25 years of age as on 31/12/2014. (Age Relaxation of 5 Years in Upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC Category will be given to the candidates as per the govt rules).
Application Fee:
For GEN/OBC candidates: 1700+ 40 (Post office Charges)= Rs. 1740/-
For SC/ST Candidates: 1200+40 (Post office Charges)= Rs. 1240/-
