Following this, the second phase for making changes in the UPSC IAS 2022 Exam centres will begin from March 10, 2022. It is noteworthy that the Commission has added Dharamshala and Mandi districts of Himachal Pradesh as UPSC IAS 2022 Exam centres in the official notification released on the website recently. It is informed to the candidates that the exam centres, during the changing process, will be allocated on a 'First apply-First allot' basis. The total number of exam centres for UPSC, after the inclusion of Dharamshala and Mandi districts, is now 79.
Candidates slated to appear in the examination can go through the simple steps mentioned herewith to change their UPSC Prelims Exam 2022 centre.
UPSC IAS 2022 Exam centres: Steps to change
- Go to the official website of UPSC at upsconline.nic.in. Click on the link available on the homepage that reads "Online request for change of examination centre''.
- You will be redirected to a new page where the important information for exam centre change will be displayed. Go through the instructions carefully and click on the Yes button. You will then land on a login page, where you must login through your credentials (Registration ID and captcha code). Click on 'Continue' to verify OTP on your mobile number.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered number and press on the Continue button. Change your UPSC IAS 2022 exam centre then. After this you will receive a final OTP.
- By entering the OTP, your changed examination centre will be displayed on the screen. Save the acknowledgement slip.
- Print a copy of the same for further need.
