The tweet reads, "In view of the phenomenal circumstances arising due to COVID-19, to regularize the session in the interest of the students, the Department of Basic Education and the Department of Secondary Education, in madrassas and schools run by the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council, for the academic session-2020-21, it has been decided to cancel the class-10 and class-12 board examination."
Along with the announcement of cancelling the UP Madarsa Class 10th & 12th Board Exams 2021, the authorities have also decided to give promotion to the students of class-1 to class-8 (Tehtania/Faukania) and class-9 to 11 to the next class.

Previously, Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) cancelled the Class 10th, 12th board examination in light of COVID-19 pandemic havoc. The decision was made by the Deputy CM after an in-house discussion with CM Yogi Adityanath and Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
