While more than 60 lakh students appeared for the board exam this year, about 34,04,571 candidates registered for class 10 exams, and 26,24,681 candidates registered for class 12 exams.
"TheUP board will be announcing the dates of class 10 and class 12 examination to be held next year before Diwali," said deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma.
The UP government is mulling significant changes to the state's education system, including conducting examinations under the watch of CCTV cameras.
“Beginning next academic session, all examinations will be conducted under the watch of cameras. Buildings or premises that do not have cameras will not be made examination centres,” chief secretary Rajive Kumar told Hindustan Times.
He reiterated that CCTV cameras should be installed at all the examination centres by December 2017.
