The University Grants Commission (UGC) will release the application forms for National Eligibility Test ( NET) June 2014 exam on April 15.
In a statement issued on Commission's website it said that "The exam for the UGC NET/JRF June 2014 will be held on June 29 at various exam centres across the country". The aspirants who wish to pursue their career in academic field may apply for the same.
The examination is held twice a year in the months of June and December and the last date for application for the June 2014 exam is May 5, 2014.
Eligibility Criteria :
The applicants who wish to apply for this exam should possess a Masters Degree in Arts or Sciences by a UGC recognized University/ Institute with a minimum 55 % aggregate (50 % marks for SC/ ST candidates).
Age Limit :
The eligible candidates who wish to apply for the post of Junior Reserach Fellowship (JRP) post should be maximum of 28 years of age while Lectureship has no upper age limit.
Examination Fee:
Rs 450/- for GEN, Rs 225/- for OBC candidates and Rs 110/- for SC/PHC/ST candidates.
The candidates who qualify for Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. The universities, institutions, IITs and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for whole time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by them.
