UGC NET 2024 Postponed due to Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Exam to be conducted on 27 August

UGC NET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) scheduled for 26 August 2024 on account of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The exam will now be conducted on 27 August 2024. The NTA has already announced the complete UGC NET exam schedule. According to the released schedule, a total of 7 papers i.e. philosophy, Hindi, Oriya, Nepali, Manipuri, Assamese, and Santali were scheduled for 26 August 2024.

The agency has released the UGC NET June 2024 exam city slip on the official website i.e. ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The UGC NET exam 2024 will be conducted in two shifts i.e. shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and the next shift will be commenced from 3 pm to 6 pm. The NTA will be holding the eligibility test for granting the candidates JRF and other fellowships for a total of 83 papers. 

According to the official notice “The rest of the schedule will remain the same as per the Public Notice dated: 02th August 2024." The UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted from 21 August to 4 September 2024. The UGC NET admit card 2024 is expected to be released on 19  August 2024. The hall tickets will be available for the candidates on the official website of NTA.

The candidates may note that they will require their login credentials such as application number and date of birth to view or download the UGC NET hall ticket. The admit card is an important document, so the candidates are advised to take a printout of the same to carry at their respective exam centers.
