UGC NET 2024 update: The University Grants Commission (UGC) National Entrance Test (NET) 2024 is scheduled to begin on August 21, 2024 and will be conducted across multiple centers until September 4, 2024. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the UGC-NET exam in a computer-based testing (CBT) format. The exam will be held in two shifts - the first from 9 am to 12 pm, and the second from 3 pm to 6 pm, as per the official announcement.

The question paper will be available in English and Hindi, except for language papers. Candidates will receive the paper in the language they selected during application. They must answer in the medium chosen on the application form. If there is any ambiguity in translation or construction of a question, the English version will be considered final, with the NTA's decision being binding.

UGC NET 2024: Marking scheme
The marking scheme is as follows:
Each question is worth 2 marks
Correct responses receive 2 marks
Incorrect responses do not result in negative marks
Unanswered, unattempted, or review-marked questions receive no marks
Candidates must select the single correct answer from the options provided
If a question is found to be inaccurate, unclear or have multiple correct answers, only candidates who attempted and selected the correct option will receive credit.
