The Osmania University (OU) has issued online application for State Eligibility Test (SET) also known as APSET for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States.
The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) -2014 examination will be conducted on January 4 next year.
Candidates can submit their applications online from October 10 to 31, and with a late fee of Rs. 100 from November 1 to 8. With a late fee of Rs. 200 applications can be submitted from November 9 to 15. An official talking to a website said that the exam would be conducted in 27 subjects.
The SET is considered equivalent to the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is mandatory for recruitment of teaching posts in colleges and universities. Candidates can also appear for the test in Telugu medium, wherever applicable.
Age Limit :
Candidates willing to apply for SET exams don’t have any upper age limit.
Educational Qualification :
Candidates should possess Master’s Degree from a UGC recognized university. Candidates who have completed or pursuing the final year of PG Degree in related subjects are also eligible.
Exam Pattern :
AP State Eligibility Test will consist of three papers which will be conducted in objective mode.
Application Fee :
Candidates must pay the fee of Rs.700/- for OC, Rs.500/- for BC, Rs.250/- for SC/ ST/ PH/ VH and Bank charges of Rs.20/-. Registration Fee/ late Fee must be deposited in any branch of State Bank of Hyderabad through Bank Challan downloaded from the APSET website.
