The application process for the NTA Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 January is to conclude in September 2019 last week.

All the candidates applying for the entrance examination are hereby informed that the jeemain.nic.in website for the JEE Main 2020 examination has shifted.

Earlier the web address for the JEE Main 2020 website was jeemain.nic.in. While the JEE Main 2020 New Website address is jeemain.nta.nic.in. Direct link for the same is also provided here.

The JEE Main 2020 application form is also available on the official website, nta.ac.in.

The NTA JEE Main January Exam 2020 application window will close on September 30, 2019. Examination centres will be allotted on first come first serve basis. 

The process has been held for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture colleges across the country.

The candidates who wish to appear for the JEE Mains 2020 January exam can apply through the official website;

JEE Main January 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted from January 6, 2019, to January 11, 2019. 

According to the schedule published on the official website, "the application process for January exams will be commenced on September 03, 2019, and concludes on September 30, 2019. The admit card will be released in December 2019. JEE Main January 2020 exams will be conducted from January 6, 2019, to January 11, 2019."

Key Points at a Glance:

Students have the option to take Paper-II and apply for B. planning without appearing for the Drawing test from JEE Mains 2020 onwards. Instead, they can appear for a Planning-based MCQ test (25 questions) and forego the Drawing test altogether.
 
The above Examinations will be held in “Computer Based Test” (CBT) Mode only, except that the Drawing Test for B.Arch. will be held in “Pen & Paper” (offline) mode. A candidate may appear in B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Planning depending upon the course/s he/she wishes to pursue.

Candidates who aspire to appear for B. Arch. will have to appear for Mathematics, Aptitude Test, Drawing Test and also the separate B. planning section. In B. planning examination paper the questions will be based on rural and urban planning.

JEE Main 2020 January Exam: Eligibility Criteria 

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE (Advanced) -2020 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of Class 12thor equivalent qualifying examination with at least 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST, and PwD) or being in the top 20 percentile of the successful candidates in their respective Board examinations.

Mode of Examination
JEE (Main)-2020 will be conducted in the following modes:
(a) B.E. /B. Tech. in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
(b) B. Arch: Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in “Pen & Paper Based” (offline) mode to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
(c) B.Planning: Mathematics- Part I, Aptitude Test-Part II and Planning Based Questions Part III in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only

Choice of Medium of Question Papers
- The medium of Question Paper shall be in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
- The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.

Note: Please note that for the correctness of the questions in all the question papers, the English version will be taken as final.
