The application process for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2020 is to conclude soon, by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER).

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneshwar had again extended the application process date for NEST 2020. The last date for online application was extended upto June 07, 2020. Amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and implementation of multiple lockdowns, the NISER extended the application date for the NEST 2020.
The candidates who wish to appear for the exam, can visit the official website and apply in the online mode.
NEST 2020 will be a computer-based test (CBT) which will consist of multiple-choice questions.
 

NEST 2020 Revised Dates:

  • Start of Online application for NEST 2020: January 07, 2020
  • Closing of Online application: April 19, 2020 (Old)
  • Revised Last Date of Online Application: June 07, 2020
  • Download of Admit Card begins: To be announced soon 
  • NEST 2020 examination: To be announced soon (Hours of examination: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM & 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM)
  • Announcement of results on NEST website: June 2020

NEST 2020: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. nestexam.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click ‘apply online’
Step 3: Click on ‘get registered’, those who have registered may directly log-in
Step 4: Fill basic information and submit
Step 5: Log-in using the registration number
Step 6: Fill form, upload images
Step 7: Make payment

The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is an entrance exam that is held for admission to five-year integration M.Sc programme at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics and the department of atomic energy centre for excellence in basic science, University of Mumbai.
 
NEST 2020 Exam Pattern:  
 
The exam will consist of five sections, the sections will be MC- based. The mode of the language of the question paper will be English only.
 
Section 1: This section will be the General Section which will carry 30 marks. Merit list will be created on the basis of this section.

Section 2 to 5: All the sections will consist of subject-specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Each section will carry 50 marks. The best three subject scores will be considered.

Note* There will not be any negative marking for the wrong answer.
