NEET UG Exam 2022: The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG (Undergraduate) is an exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the candidates seeking admission to medical seats in courses such as MBBS, AYUSH, Veterinary, BDS, Nursing and other courses in medical institutions across the country. It is the most prominent undergraduate medical entrance exam in the country and is conducted in the pen and paper mode.

The NEET 2022 UG Exam date is expected to be declared in the first week of May. NEET 2022 Application process was slated to begin in January but has been deferred due to unavoidable reasons. NEET UG Exam 2022: Eligibility criteria:

Students who have passed Class 12th or are about to appear for 12th Board examinations are eligible to take the NEET exam. The minimum age limit for the appearing candidates has been fixed as 17 years. Indian citizens, Non-residential Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and foreign nationals can apply for the NEET exam. In 2021, around 16 lakh candidates had appeared for the NEET UG Entrance Exam. This year, approximately 15 lakh candidates are expected to appear.

NEET UG Exam 2022: Commencement of Application process

Although no official announcement has been made regarding the commencement of the application process for NEET UG Exam 2022, some media reports are claiming that the admission process will begin by March. Also the examination is being proposed to be conducted between May and June, but may get delayed citing the situation of Covid-19 pandemic. Possibly, the application window will remain open for students for a period of 25 days. After the application window closes, the candidates will also have the opportunity to make corrections in their application form, if any.
 
NEET UG Exam 2022: Paper pattern

The NEET UG Exam paper will comprise 200 questions. 180 questions are to be answered out of these 200 questions. 3 hours will be given to the candidates to solve the paper. The paper is divided into three sections, namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Maximum marks for the paper have been fixed as 720. The Biology section consists of 100 questions, all of which are compulsory to attempt. Apart from this, 50 questions each will be asked in Physics and Chemistry sections respectively, where a candidate has to attempt 40 of them. Four marks will be awarded for each correct response, while one mark will be deducted for every wrong response.
