NEET UG 2024 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the NEET UG 2024 exam today i.e. 5 May, 2024. This exam will be conducted in a single shift i.e. 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm. This year more than 24 lakh students registered for this exam.
The candidates who will participate in the NEET UG 2024 exam today, must go through the guidelines that NTA has already issued as they must reach their respective exam centers at the time indicated in the admit card. Any candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after the closing time.
So, the candidates are advised to reach their exam centers on time or before if possible. This will help in completing all the pre-examination formalities on time. Candidates must not be in possession of any item or article that has been prohibited or can be used for unfair practices including any stationery item, communication device, or any other material.

- Transparent water bottle
- Additional passport-size photograph
- Admit card
- PwD certificate if applicable
- Scribe related documents if applicable
NEET UG 2024 Exam: Dress code for boys
- Choose a T-shirt with short sleeves
- Clothing should be devoid of pockets, zippers, or elaborate buttons
- Go for straight-fit pants and shirts.
- Avoid wearing kurtas and pyjamas
- Avoid layering in the outfit
- Choose light slippers or sandals
- Footwear should be simple and un-covered
NEET UG 2024 Exam: Dress code for girls
- Wear a half-sleeved kurti or shirt
- The long-sleeve design is prohibited
- Avoid wearing any jewelry metallic or non-metallic
- Choose slippers or open sandals
- Do not wear fancy footwear like boots, heels or stilettos
NEET UG 2024 Exam: Bio breaks
Candidates may note that no bio breaks will be given in the first hour of the beginning and last hour of the exam. Apart from the attendance taken before starting the exam, the biometric attendance will be taken again after the bio break.
NEET UG 2024 Exam: Important advisory
- Candidates will not be permitted to write questions or answers on any material other than the answer sheet. All written work including rough work must be don on answer scripts given by the Centre Superintendent.
- NTA prohibits the tearing of the answer sheet or any page of the test booklet.
- No person other than the examination staff must be contacted or communicated with during the exam time.
- The answer sheet (Original OMR/Office Copy of OMR)cannot be taken out of the examination hall/room.
- Smuggling out Question Paper or its part or answer sheet or a part of it is not permitted.
- Candidates cannot threaten any of the officials connected with the conduct of the exam or any of the students.
- Manipulation and fabrication of online documents such as admit cards and rank letters is prohibited.
- Forceful entry/exit in/from the examination center/hall
- Use of any electronic device is prohibited after entering the examination center.
- Tampering, overwriting, providing incorrect information or obliterating any information printed on the OMR answer sheet is strictly prohibited.
