MP SET 2018
An official notification regarding the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2018 has been released by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) State Eligibility Test Cell.
The State Eligibility Test is a test conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Professor in the state. It makes the candidate eligible for the post.
The examination will be conducted for 19 different subjects.
The process of Online Registrations will start from October 11, 2018, for the Madhya Pradesh SET 2018.
Important Dates
October 11, 2018: the online registration starts from this date.
November 11, 2018: Last date for the online registrations.
October 14 to November 14, 2018: the candidates can make corrections in the forms.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Criteria: The candidates must have attained a Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with minimum marks of 55% from a recognized University.
As for the reserved category, the minimum marks obtained in the subject should be at least 50%.
The candidates who are in the last year of the Master’s Degree are also eligible to apply for the SET 2018 Exam.
Exam Format
The MP SET exam is divided into two papers.
Paper 1
Duration: The candidates will be given a total of 60 minutes to complete the Paper 1.
Question Type: The paper comprises of the 50 objective type questions.
Topics Covered: It will cover topics such as general awareness, teaching and research aptitude.
Paper 2
Duration: the candidates will be given a total of 120 minutes to attempt the paper.
Question Type and Marks: the paper will consist of 100 objective type questions which will carry 2marks each.
Topics Covered: in this paper, there will no specific topics, it will be Subject Specific.
