The two-week long state matriculation examination for regular students ended on Monday.
The examination for ex-regular students would be over on Tuesday and the evaluation of answer papers would begin from March 21, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) sources said here.
While the Board officials were planning to complete the evaluation process by March 31, sources confirmed the results of the examination would be out by the end of April.
The process of evaluation has been made easy this year because half of the answers are on OMR sheet which would be evaluated by computers.
The answer sheets of long answer questions would be evaluated in about 60 centres across the state and nearly 2000 teachers would be engaged for the purpose, sources said.
Roughly 5.5 lakh students have appeared in the examination in regular stream while a little over 55,000 students are writing the papers in ex-regular stream.
