JEE Advanced 2024: Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) is going to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced tomorrow, 26 May. 

 

The hosting institute has recently released the admit cards for the exam. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the official JEE Advanced website at jeeadv.ac.in.

 

Additionally, candidates must follow all the guidelines issued by the institute on the day of the exam. Candidates appearing for the exam should ensure they adhere to all the instructions provided below.

 

JEE Advanced 2024: Exam day guidelines

  • Candidates must bring their admit card to the examination hall as entry will not be permitted without it.
  • Candidates are also required to present a valid original photo identification (one of the following: Aadhaar card, school/college/institution ID, driving license, voter ID, passport, PAN card, and signed certificate).
  • Candidate identity will be verified by the supervisor and IIT representatives at the center.
  • No extra time will be given to complete the exam.
  • Use of unfair means or impersonation is considered a serious offense and can result in legal action.
  • All candidates must undergo mandatory frisking before entering the examination center.
  • Candidates are only allowed to carry a pen, pencil, drinking water in transparent bottles, a downloaded admit card, and an original photo ID.
  • Items such as smart/digital/programmable/analog watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, or any other electronic gadgets, any printed/blank/handwritten paper, log tables, writing pads, scales, erasers, geometry/pencil boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens/scanners, wallets, handbags, cameras, spectacles, or similar items are not allowed.
  • It is advised not to wear metallic items like amulets, rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooches, and clothes with large buttons. Candidates should wear open footwear like slippers and sandals.
  • Candidates must arrive at the exam center in advance and complete the necessary formalities mentioned in the admit card.
  • Under no circumstances will candidates be allowed to enter the exam center after the exam starts (9 AM for Paper 1 and 2:30 PM for Paper 2).
  • Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before 12 PM for Paper 1 and before 5:30 PM for Paper 2.
  • Only the responses of candidates who appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be evaluated/graded. Therefore, attending both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is mandatory.
