GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is going to close the registration window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 with a late fee tomorrow. Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in. to fill out the GATE application form.
According to the released schedule, the GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on 1, 2, 15, and 16 February 2024 in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the second shift will take place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates registering for GATE 2025 during the extended period will need to pay Rs 1,400 per test paper for female candidates.
Also, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories. The application fee for all other candidates, including foreign nationals, is Rs 2,300 per test paper. The last date to submit the GATE application form 2025 with a late fee was 7 October 2024 but has been extended to 11 October 2024.
After closing the application window, the GATE 2025 application correction window will be opened till 6 November 2024. Candidates will be able to view or download their admit cards from 2 January 2024 by visiting the official website of GATE.
GATE 2025: Educational qualification
Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or Arts. Candidates in the third year of their undergraduate program can also apply for the same.

- A high-quality photograph of the candidate as per the required specifications
- High-quality signature of the candidate as per required specifications
- Scanned copy of the caste certificate in PDF format, if applicable
- A scanned copy of the PwD certificate in PDF format, if applicable
- A scanned copy of a valid photo ID in PDF format from one of the following: Aadhar-UID, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or Driving License
GATE 2025: How to apply?
- Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
- Then click on the registration link available on the home page.
- Enter your login credentials and click on submit.
- Fill out the application form and upload the required documents.
- Pay the application fees and click on submit.
- Save the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference.
