GATE 2022: Extended Registration Last Date Today, Steps to Apply Here

The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kharagpur is to conclude the registration process for  GATE 2022 exam today, on September 30. The Insititute has extended the application last date for Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering 2022 twice in a row this year. The application form is available online on the designated official website for GATE at gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

The candidates who have not yet applied for the GATE 2022 can fill the online application form without paying any late fee. However, the candidates can apply for the entrance exam by paying a late fee of Rs. 500/- till 7th October 2021. The IIT Kharagpur has scheduled to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2022 on 5th, 6th,12th and13th February 2022.

GATE 2022: How to fill online application form

Step 1 - Visit the official website of GATE 2022 at gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
Step 2 - Select the desired programme and click on the 'Registration Link'.
Step 3 - Register by providing required credentials and upload necessary documents.
Step 4 - Cross check the details provided and submit the application fee.
Step 5 - Take a print out of the confirmation page for further use.

  • Educational certificate
  • Any one photo ID proof from Aadhar, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID and Driving License
  • Caste Category and PWD Certificate
  • Passport size photograph and signature of the candidate

Marking Scheme
  • The exam paper will consists of questions with 1 mark and 2 marks.
  • For wrong answer chosen in a MCQ, there will be negative marking.
  • For 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. 
  • For 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
