Exam for clerk posts cancelled following reported paper leak
A suspected paper leak has resulted in cancellation of the exam for post of clerks by the Palghar district administration, officials said on Tuesday.

District Collector Abhijit Bhangar told reporters that the exam, held yesterday has been cancelled and the next date would be soon announced.

During the exam, couple of the candidates were allegedly caught with mobile phones. One of the candidate received messages which had answers of the said questions. The other mobile was found switched off, he said, adding hence the fact that the papers were leaked cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile, a case was registered in this regard and both the candidates were apprehended.

A case under relevant section of Maharashtra Universities and Other Exams Prevention of Irregularities Rules 1982, IPC and section 66 of the IT Act 2005 has been registered, an official release issued by Palghar police said.
