Delhi Non-Plan Admission 2024: The Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi, for the academic year 2024- 2025, has decided to conduct a Common Admission Test (CAT) to admit children to classes 10, 12, at government schools. 

According to the official schedule, registration for admission to Delhi government schools in 2024 is set to commence today, 18 April. 

Candidates must knnow that the CAT exam for Delhi non-plan admission 2024 will take place on 9 May, 2024. Also, note that through this non-plan admissions, only students residing in Delhi may apply for admission to Classes 10 and 12 in Delhi government schools.

 

Delhi Non-Plan Admission 2024: Qualifications required 

Candidates must note that the criteria for admission into class 10 and 12 has several seperate procedures mentioned below- 

For Class 10: 

• During the academic year 2023 - 2024, students must have successfully completed Class 9 at an accredited school as a regular student.
• Applicants from reserved categories will be granted a 5% relaxation in any of the three topics listed as prerequisites. Students with special needs will receive a 5% reduction in all disciplines.

 

For Class 12: 

• The candidate must have completed Class 11 in the chosen courses as an enrolled regular student in a reputable school between 2023 and 2024. Additionally, for the chosen stream, students need to have received the minimum number of marks in Class 10.
• Students may enrol in humanities courses without skill requirements if they have completed Class 10 at the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with a grade of at least 55%.
• Candidates from reserved categories are eligible for a 5% relaxation in any of the three subjects listed as prerequisites for admission. Students with special needs will receive a 5% reduction in all disciplines.

• Commencement of issuance of application form: 18 April, 2024
• Last date for receipt of filled in application form: 30 April, 2024
• Distribution of admit card (in the school where applicant applied): 7 May, 2024
• Date of Common Admission Test: 9 May, 2024
• Exam timings: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Declaration of result: 14 May, 2024
• Last date of submission of files by concerned HoS to DDE (District) for approval: 21 May, 2024

For admission into class 10 student must have the following copies-

• Class 9 score card copy
• Valid ID proof of residency (delhi) 

For admission into class 12 student must have the following copies-

• Class 10 and 11 score card copy. 
• The national game participation certificate and the caste certificate copies. 
• Valid ID proof of residency (delhi)
