Delhi Government School Admission 2024: According to the Directorate of Education (DoE), the Delhi government schools' Class 6 to 9 admissions registration procedure gets underway today, 8 April. Students or their guardians can fill out the registration form available on the official website, i.e, edudel.nic.in.
The official notice by the DoE stated that students who are currently studying or have been placed under NSO in Government or Government-Aided Schools may contact their last attended school for assistance regarding their transfer or readmission.
Students who have been promoted from Class 5 will need to complete an online registration form in order to enrol in Class 6. Children who are not enrolled in school must register in person at the closest school to their residence.
In addition, parents are advised to register their child at the nearest school if their child, who is between the ages of 10 and 12, has not previously attended. The kid will have to take a Foundational Literacy and Numeracy testing upon enrolment, and the results will decide where they are placed in class.
Delhi School Admission 2024 Schedule:
- Delhi School admission registration begins: April 8, 2024
- Last Date for 2024 registration: April 17, 2024
- School allotment list for Admission 2024: April 29, 2024
- Submission and Verification of documents: April 30 to May 10, 2024
Age Criteria for Delhi Government School Admission 2024:
- For Children of Class 6 : Between 10 and 12 years old.
- For Children of Class 7: Between 11 and 13 years old.
- For Children of Class 8: Between 12 and 14 years old.
- For Children of Class 9: Between 13 and 15 years old.
Heads of Schools (HoS) have the authority to grant a maximum and minimum age relaxation of six months as per their preference.
