The exam for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 has been postponed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

An official notification confirming that the CTET 2020 has been deferred is available on the official website i.e. ctet.nic.in.

The CTET 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on July 5, 2020. However, the exam has now postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
As for the new exam dates, CBSE would be informing the dates when the conditions are more ‘conducive’ for conducting the examination.

CTET is a mandatory requirement for candidates who wish to take up teaching jobs in the central government schools like KVS, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Schools in the capital city of Delhi. The CTET examination is conducted twice every year now – once in July and the other in December by the CBSE. The July examination for 2020 has been postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.

CBSE has also recently cancelled the remaining board examinations for class 10, 12.
Various exams, including board exams, entrance tests and recruitment exams, have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Job exams of major recruiting bodies like SSC have been rescheduled and will begin in August.
