COVID-19 Lockdown 2.0: UP Board to Promote Class 6 to 9 and Class 11 Students Without Exams

The students of Class 6 to Class 9 and also Class 11 will be promoted to the next grade without appearing for the final exam, by the Uttar Pradesh State Board.

The decision to promote the students was taken due to the on-going COVID-19 lockdown situation in the state. 
An order has been issued by Aradhana Shukla, Principal Secretary, Secondary Education Department regarding the same. 

The order states that the lockdown caused by Coronavirus infection has led to exceptional circumstances. So to make the academic session regular, the students must be promoted to the next class. There are 2000 government and 4500 assisted schools in 27 thousand schools of UP board in the state. The rest are private schools. Home examinations were left or running due to UP board examination in most schools. 

However, talking about the board exam there has been no word from the board on 10th and 12th board exam results. As per reports, UP Board 10th Result 2020 for High School students and UP Board 12th Result 2020 for Intermediate Students can be expected to be declared in the first or second week of June 2020.

Along with UP Board, several other state boards including CBSE board announced that it would be promotion all the students from 1st to 9th and 11th Class to next grade without holding exams.
