CBSE Board Exams: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to close the window today for the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools. The board had earlier directed the schools to submit the correct data including the subjects of the students. The LOC can be submitted by the board with a normal fee by today.

Schools must ensure accurate data entry, including chosen subjects, as no corrections will be permitted after submission. The CBSE emphasized the importance of timely submissions in its circular to school principals, outlining key guidelines to facilitate the process. Students whose names are submitted will be eligible for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations.

According to the released official notice, "For the session 2024-2025, the activity of submission of data of eligible candidates through LOC started on September 5, 2024 (Thursday) and closed on October 4, 2024 (Friday). Schools must complete the submission within the specified schedule as no extensions will be granted."

Schools affiliated with the board will process the same and submit the list of candidates or LOC.  Schools are required to submit the LOC within this period as per the details specified by the board along with the stipulated fees for the upcoming board examinations. Visually impaired students are exempted from paying class 10, and 12 board exam fees.

The candidates are advised to verify their registration forms before submitting them as these details will be used for generating official documents such as marksheets. In case of any discrepancies, it will create an error in the records of CBSE. Also, they must verify the subject codes, as any changes will not be made to codes after final submission.

The List of Candidates (LOC) submission is a mandatory process for schools to register students for Class 10 and 12 Board examinations. Only those students whose names are submitted through the online LOC process will be allowed to appear for the upcoming board examinations.

The board also released a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to assist the schools in navigating the LOC procedures more effectively. By adhering to the guidelines outlined, students and teachers would be able to maintain the accuracy of the LOC data, which is crucial for the effective planning and administration of CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations 2024-2025.
