The pending examinations of CBSE 10th and 12th have been cancelled by the Supreme Court. The exams were scheduled to be conducted from July 1 to 15. Explain that earlier, the Central Government and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that the decision to cancel the remaining exams of the second class will be taken on Wednesday. These examinations, to be held from July 1 to 15, can be avoided due to increasing cases of Covid-19. Negotiations are on for a decision on this.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had informed the bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar that the government and the board were well aware of the problems of the students and the officials would take a decision on the issue soon. Mehta requested the bench to adjourn the issue for a day and said that they would convey the decision taken by the authorities to the top court.

Apart from Justice Khanwilkar, the bench also included Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanjeev Khanna. The bench adjourned the matter till June 25 after hearing Mehta. The apex court was hearing a petition, which was filed by some parents of the students who took the exam. In it, he demanded that the results of the remaining subjects should be declared on the basis of the examination conducted earlier and calculated on an average basis with the marks of internal assessment.
