CAT 2023 Registration Starts: Important Details
IIM Lucknow will conduct the CAT 2023 exam on November 26, 2023, in 155 test cities. The exam will be conducted in three shifts: Shift 1 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, Shift 2 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and Shift 3 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
CAT 2023 Exam & Admit Card
IIM Lucknow will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) on Sunday, November 26. Candidates will be able to download the admit card for CAT 2023 starting October 25 at 5 pm on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The admit card will mention the exam date, shift, exam centre, candidate details, and important instructions for the candidates.
CAT 2023 Exam will be held in 155 Cities
CAT 2023 will be conducted in 155 cities this year. Candidates will be allowed to choose 6 optional cities while filling out the CAT Form 2023. CAT 2023 will be a 120-minute exam, conducted in three sessions. Candidates can check the exam duration and shift on the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
CAT 2023 Eligibility
As per the CAT 2023 notification, a candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, or 45% in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) provided by a UGC-approved University.
CAT 2023 Application Fee
The CAT 2023 registration fee is Rs 1,200 for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, while other candidates need to pay Rs 2,400.
What is CAT 2023?
The CAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted to admit students to postgraduate management programmes, including IIMs. Some colleges and universities, such as Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), also offer admission based on CAT scores for MBA admission. CAT is conducted for a duration of three hours and consists of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning; and Quantitative Aptitude.
Last year, CAT was conducted on November 27. A total of 2.56 lakh candidates applied for the exam, and more than 86 percent of them, or around 2,22,184 candidates, appeared for it.
