Assam CEE 2020 Exam Postponed in Wake of COVID-19 Pandemic

Amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and country-wide lockdown, Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has postponed the Assam CEE 2020 entrance examination. The Varsity has issued an official notification stating the postponement of the Assam Common Entrance Examination (Assam CEE). The official notification is available on the ASTUs website i.e. astu.ac.in.  According to the notice, the new date for the Assam CEE 2020 Exam will now be finalized after the declaration of JEE Main/JEE Advanced dates. 

The authority will inform all the registered candidates individually through their registered mobile number. Earlier the Assam CEE 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on April 26, 2020. 
The official notification reads, "In view of the hardships faced by the country and its citizens due to COVID19 pandemic, the date of the online submission form for CEE 2020 extended by ten days from the end of COVID 19 lockdown period date."

Candidates are advised to don't panic and keep an eye on the official website of the ASTU. As the central government has announced the lockdown till April 14, all school, colleges, universities and Board offices are closed. The Varsity will upload the further updates on its website.

Commencement of online applications: 2nd March 2020
Last Date for online submission of Applications: 7th April 2020

CEE 2020 examination date : Notified Soon
Examination Timings: 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM
Declaration of results: May 2020

Assam CEE 2020 Exam Pattern:

The examination will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Type and comprise of a Single Paper of 3 (three) hours duration with following distribution:
a) Mathematics: 40 Questions
b) Physics: 40 Questions
c) Chemistry: 40 Questions

The Assam CEE Paper will be of 3 hours duration and will contain 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each carrying one mark. 4 marks will be awarded for every right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

About Assam CEE 2020: 

The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE), 2020 for admission to B.Tech. programme in the colleges of Assam shall be conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University.
