SSSUHE Convocation 2023: President Droupadi Murmu attended the second convocation of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE) in Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapura district, Karnataka. During the event, she highlighted the remarkable progress made by women in various sectors, providing a glimpse of the ongoing transformation in India.

Referring specifically to women securing the top four ranks in this year's Union Civil Services examination, President Murmu expressed, "Daughters can outperform boys if given equal opportunities."
"I am extremely pleased that our daughters have achieved the top four ranks in this year's civil services examination. It signifies that our daughters excel compared to our boys when equal opportunities are provided," Murmu said.
She further added, "This reflects the changing landscape of India and the promising future of our country."
Amidst applause from the audience, President Murmu humorously remarked, "Yeh to trailer hai. Picture abhi baaki hai." (This is just a trailer. The main picture is yet to be revealed), quoting a famous Hindi movie dialogue.
President Murmu made these observations while highlighting that girls constitute 66 percent of the student population at SSSUHE, and among the 17 gold medal recipients, 11 were girls.
Drawing from her experience as the former Governor of Jharkhand and now as the President, she commended the exceptional performance of women in universities.
She also praised the private university, noting that 50 percent of the students at SSSUHE, like her, were the first in their families to attain a degree-level education.
