NIRF Ranking 2024: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 today, 12 August. The Ranking is now availble on the official website at nirfindia.org.
The rankings evaluate and rank higher education institutions in India based on various criteria. The ranks were announced by the Union Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan the through a press conference.
In the NIRF Rankings 2024, IIT Madras has secured the top position. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has achieved second place in the Research category of the NIRF Rankings 2024. IIT Madras has also been ranked as the best engineering college, followed by IITs in the subsequent positions.
As always, the IITs have dominated the Engineering category in the NIRF Rankings 2024, capturing most of the spots in the top 10. The rankings across 13 categories were announced at an event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

AIIMS Delhi has topped the medical category this year. Hindu College has topped the college category this year. IIM Ahmedabad has topped the management category. IISc Bangalore was selected as the best Indian university, IIT Madras as the best engineering institute.
