NEP 2020: IGNOU Introduces Seven Specializations in PG Diploma Courses Including HR, Marketing, and Finance

NEP 2020: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is offering four new PG Diploma courses in Design Management with specializations from the July 2023 session under the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.


IGNOU Introduces Seven Specializations in PG Diploma Courses

These include subjects such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Operations Management. Individuals of any age group holding a bachelor's degree in any field with 50 percent marks, can fill out the online application form until June 30 for admission into these courses.

Furthermore, seven new MBA courses will also be initiated in the Management Program. These courses will be offered through an online degree program and distance learning mode.
 

PG Diplomas in these Specializations

According to a senior official of IGNOU, the July session will offer PG Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDIHRM), PG Diploma in Financial Management (PGDIFM), PG Diploma in Operations Management (PGDIOM), and PG Diploma in Specialization in Marketing Management (PGDIMM). Candidates from any age group and field, with Graduation, CA, Cost Accountancy, or CS qualifications, will be eligible for admission to these four courses. General category candidates must have 50% marks in graduation, while reserved category candidates must have 45% marks.
 

Seven MBA Courses in Online and Distance Learning Mode

Under the National Education Policy, there is also an opportunity to study seven new courses in MBA through an online degree programme and distance learning mode. These include MBA in Banking & Finance, MBA in Human Resource Management, MBA in Financial Management, MBA in Marketing Management, MBA in Operations Management, and more.
 

Opportunity to Choose On-Demand Examination Date

Multiple entry-exit options will be available for these management courses, which are designed based on the new market demand under NEP. If students discontinue their studies, they will have the opportunity to resume within seven years from where they left off. These courses will also benefit from credit transfers under the Academic Bank of Credit.
