AICTE: Admit CBSE Private and Patrachar Students Provisionally
AICTE 2021 - PC : My Result Plus

The All India Council of Technical Education, AICTE said on Friday that the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE class 12 students' admissions should not be denied in any institutes across India whose result has not been declared yet. The students include CBSE second compartment students, private category students, and patrachar. The candidates must note that they will have to sign an undertaking that they shall submit the 12th class result within 1 week of the date on which the result is declared.

“The provision is only applicable in admissions that are done considering the candidate’s performance in national level examinations like state-level admission exams or Joint Entrance Examination, JEE,” said Rajive Kumar, member secretary, AICTE. He further added that this is not the first time when the authorities have approved admissions provisionally. This exception-based decision was started last year for the MBA admission when few universities across India were not able to produce the UG result. Kumar said that we are facing a difficult situation at the moment and no method is guaranteed to work fully but we are constructing strategies to minimize the loss of students.

The eligibility criteria for the Engineering students have also been revised by the AICTE this year. As per the revised rules, mathematics and physics will no longer be the mandatory subjects to take courses like BTech and BE. The revised rule is applicable from the 2021-22 academic year. The candidates must note that they can select a combination of any three subjects out of the 14 listed subjects.

The candidates must take note that they will have to satisfy the minimum eligibility requirement as per the course specification even after the provisional admission. Once the result is declared and the candidates fail to achieve the passing marks, the admission for those candidates will be canceled automatically.
