UPSC IES 2025: The Union Public Service Commission has released the notification for the Engineering Services Examination. Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. to check or download the official notification.

Along with the notification, the commission has also begun the registrations for the preliminary examination. Interested candidates can apply till 8 October 2024 by visiting the official website upsconline.nic.in.

This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 232 posts in Group A and B under Engineering Services in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Telecommunications Engineering. Out of these, 12 vacancies are for PwBD candidates. 

The Engineering Services Preliminary Examination (UPSC ESE 2025 Prelims Date) will be conducted on 8 February 2025. To participate in this recruitment exam the candidates need to pay application fees according to the category i.e. 

Candidates belonging to the General/OBC category- Rs 200. 
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Divyang categories will not pay the application fee. Candidates applying will have to go through a preliminary examination, main examination, and interview.

To apply for the same candidate must have a bachelor's degree in engineering; such as BE/BTech. Also, the age of the candidate must lie between 21 to 30 years. However, relaxation in the maximum age limit for SC/ST category candidates is five years. However, this relaxation is three years for OBC.
