Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced to expand its academic offerings by introducing three new departments. These three departments include the Department of Law under the Faculty of Law, the Department of Dental Sciences, and the Department of Medical Sciences under the Faculty of Dentistry.
The college said that the expansion represents a significant development for JMI and provides new opportunities for students to pursue academic careers in law, dentistry, and medicine. It is expected to further strengthen the university's reputation as a leading education and research center in India.
The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, in her capacity as the visitor of JMI, has approved amendments to the existing statute 20, an official notification stated. This approval was conveyed by the ministry of education (department of higher education) vide its letter no. 6-11/2022-CU 2 dated March 6, 2024.
