Vice Chancellor Inspects University’s Admission Test Centers

The Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, Talat Ahmad today inspected several admission test centres of the university, including, the New Maths Building Complex and Jamia Senior Secondary Schools. 

Prof Ahmad along with the Chief Proctor, Haroon Sajjad and Deputy Proctors, Mansaf Alam and Dr Arshad Khan and the Security Advisor, SA Alvi visited various Centres where exams were underway and expressed his satisfaction at the fair and peaceful conduct of the exams. 

Today admission test-2018 are being held for MBA (IB), MA (Social work), XI (Arts) and Diploma Engineering. 

A total of 8379 students from Delhi and 2338 students from outside Delhi are appearing in today's tests to secure their seats in the academic session 2018-2019. 

The university is currently conducting its admission test for various PG, UG, Diploma and certificate courses and school admission tests for classes VI, IX and XI (Arts, Science and Commerce) for the upcoming academic session.

JMI has adopted online mode of filling the application forms and has set up its test centre in seven major cities including, Srinagar, Calicut, Guwahati, Patna Kolkata and Lucknow, besides those in and outside Delhi, in order to tap the best pool of candidates and also to ensure student diversity from across the country.

Through its online platform of examination and entrance test, JMI endeavours to reach out to aspiring students from across all sections of society and cut travel time and costs for those who find it difficult to come and stay in Delhi for months during the admission season.
