Union Public Service Commission invites application for recruitment for the posts of Geologist, Assistant Geologist Grade-I, Jr. Hydrogeologist, Assistant Hydrogeologists through Geologist Examination 2013. The eligible candidates for the post can apply through online registration before 23 September 2013.

Jr. Hydrogeologist (Scientist B), Group ‘A’: 33 Post
Assistant Hydrogeologists, Group ‘B’: 39 Post
Total No. of the Posts: 147
Age Limit:
The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1 August 2013 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2 August 1981 and not later than 1 August 1992 for Geologist, Group ‘A’ and Assistant Geologist Grade-I Group ‘B’ post.
Educational Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Geological Science or Applied Geology or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography.
Application Fee:
The Candidates belonging to General/ OBC Category are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card. SC/ ST/ PH/ Female candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Process:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Examination, Physical and Medical Standard Tests or Personality/Interview Tests.
Physical Standards:
Candidates should be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Geologists Examination 2013 as per the regulations specified by the commission.
