20 students are taking coaching as Regular Classroom students in Resonance and 9 students through Distance Learning Programme.
The Mathematical Olympiad Programme in India, which leads to participation of Indian students in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), is organised by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
As per the information from the various zones, 9 students from Kota Study Centre, 3 students from Surat, 2 students each from Bhubaneswar and Patna and 1 student each from Ahmedabad, Jodhpur, Raipur and Ranchi study center are part of the selected students in RMO. 18 students were of Class XI, 7 of Class X, 3 students of Class IX, and 1 student of Class VIII.
Among the 9 selected students from Kota, there are 2 students of Jawahar Navoday School, Bundi.
The Founder and Managing Director of Resonance, RK Verma, told that the third stage of Indian National Mathematical Olympiad will take place on January 21, 2018 in various centres across India. Approximately 855 students will be appearing for the exam.
The marks acquired in this stage will lead to selection of 30-35 students for a camp. The camp will be a basis for the selection of 6 students who will represent the country in International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO).
