Rajasthan Govt approves to fill up 33,679 Vidhyarti Sahayak
Rajasthan Cabinet on Tuesday gave its nod to fill up 33,679 posts of school assistant, "Vidhyarti Sahayak", fulfilling the long pending demand of re-employment of "Vidhyarti Mitras".

These posts will be only for non-teaching purposes and bonus marks would be given to those "Vidhyarti Mitras'" who worked for the state government from one year to three years, Parliamentary Minister R S Rathor said.

Also there would no age bar for them, he said while briefing media about the minutes of the Cabinet meeting chaired by Vasundhara Raje here on Tuesday.

Applicants should be Class 12 pass out with 70 per cent marks. Those who worked as "Vidhyarti Mitra" would be given bonus marks of 5, 10, and 15 as per their service of one, two and three years respectively, Rathor said.

Financial assistance under Journalist and Writers' Welfare scheme for the needy has been raised from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000, and in special case it could be Rs one lakh, he said.

The Cabinet also endorsed Budgetary announcement to provide 50 per cent concession to scribe travelling in Volvo and AC roadways buses, the minister said.

It also decided to rename of Civil Defence Department as Calamity Management and Relief Department, he said adding pension of the retired Chairman of Rajasthan Public Service Commission would also be revised.
