Demanding that medical aspirants should be selected through NEET, Puthiya Tamizhakam staged a demonstration in Tamil Nadu.
While Tamil Nadu government is seeking exemption to the state from NEET, Puthiya Tamizhakam founder-president Dr K. Krishnasamy said that students should be selected to the course through NEET score.
"NEET exemption not required for Tamil Nadu," pointed out Krishnasamy.
DMK working president M K Stalin demanded the resignation of Vijayabaskar for "bungling up" over the NEET issue, reports NDTV.
However, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the registration process for the second round of counselling for All India Quota seats based on NEET UG 2017 rank. The registration process commenced on August 1 and continue till August 4.
