NEET 2017 row: SC to hear date extension plea today
New Delhi

The Supreme Court will hear date extension plea in connection with the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 scheduled to be held on May 7.

While the plea was filed by Sankalp Charitable Trust,  NEET 2017 admit cards will be available from April 22.

"The students will get only 10-15 days for preparation because of the closeness from, but, after NEET, they are left with only one exam in national level and if they fail, the students face losing an academic year," Dr (Major) Gulshan Gard, chairman of Sankalp Charitable Trust.

CBSE will now conduct NEET 2017 in 104 cities.  The last date of application was March 31, 2017.

In order to conduct hassle free NEET 2017, the CBSE will launch a mobile app for candidates to locate the examination centre.

“A mobile app has also been developed to help the aspirants locate the nearest test venue,” said HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.

According to reports, nearly 12 lakh students will appear for NEET 2017.
