With Supreme Court allowing candidates above 25 years to sit for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017, the online application process ended on Wednesday, April 5.
While the last date for choosing exam centre was from March 24 to March 27, CBSE will now conduct NEET 2017 in 104 cities.
In order to conduct hassle free NEET 2017, the CBSE will launch a mobile app for candidates to locate the examination centre.
“A mobile app has also been developed to help the aspirants locate the nearest test venue,” said HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar.
According to reports, nearly 12 lakh students will appear for NEET 2017.
"The oversight committee felt such limitations will reduce the number of doctors in the country. The Union Health Ministry agreed and suggested recommendation to us. We have passed it," said MCI vice-president Dr CV Bhirmanandham.
