HC stays appointment letters in PAC recruitment
The Allahabad High Court on Thursday stayed all appointment letters issued by the Uttar Pradesh government to those declared as selected in the recruitment tests for the posts of sub-inspectors in civil police and platoon commanders in the Provincial Armed Constabulary.

Justice Suneet Kumar passed the order on a petition filed by Ashish Kumar Pandey and several others who have challenged the recruitment process alleging that there were irregularities wherein candidates belonging to the general category were given the benefit of "horizontal reservation".
