The institute would be named after freedom fighter Choudhary Ranbir Singh, he said while addressing a public meeting organised at Bhainswal Kalan in this district. He said in its first phase, courses of 10 skills would be started and in each skill 50 girls would be given admission.
In its second phase, the number of skills would be increased to 20. Mr Hooda urged the people to provide good education to children for their bright future. He said the country,state and society leading in the field of education would lead the world.
He said his government was not only making efforts to promote education in the state but was also working hard to improve its quality. He said that the network of educational institutes, polytechnics, medical colleges and engineering colleges was being set up in whole state.
He said in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, campuses of famous institutions were being opened which would provide education to about 1.5 lakh children. He said that in the coming few years, Haryana would become an international level education hub.
Mr Hooda also paid rich tributes to his father Choudhary Ranbir Singh and Bhagat Phool Singh by unveiling their statues in campus of the university.On this occasion, Mr Hooda also honoured Olympic medal winner Yogeshwar Dutt by giving him Rs 1.10 lakh.
