CBSE Schools To Offer NECRT Books Compulsory From Class V

Ensuring transparency, CBSE Schools is likely to offer NECRT Books Compulsory from Class V, according to reports. The Sahodaya Group (Group of CBSE Schools) has reportedly sent a proposal to the CBSE board.

However, the National Council of Educational Research and Training or NCERT is ready to supply the required number of textbooks to all Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated schools.

NCERT has also extended its distribution network of vendors across the country. This apart, NCERT textbooks can be downloaded, free of cost, from NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in. NCERT has also made available all their textbooks for free access through the web (epathshala.nic.in) and mobile devices.
