Army has decided to hold recruitment rally in the Kashmir Valley by an additional day as the same was affected by inclement weather last month, an official spokesman said on Saturday.
"Army has decided to conduct recruitment rally for an additional day on May 5 for Soldier (general duties) and Tradesmen at Anantnag (Pulwama and Shopiyan districts), Baramulla (for Boniyar, Kreeri, Rafiabad and Tangmarg tehsils only) and Kupwara (for Kupwara district only) as the recruitment in the Kashmir Valley was affected due to bad weather on April 27 and 29," a defense spokesman said.
He said the Territorial Army Group Headquarters under the aegis of Army's Northern Command organised recruitment rallies in Jammu and Kashmir from April 27 to May 1 this year.
