Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will felicitate around 500 students each of intermediate and high school, who scored maximum marks in the UP Board examinations, besides three toppers of every district in the state on August 22.
A laptop would also be presented by the government to each of these students as an encouragement, an official release said.
A meeting presided over by the Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan held in the state capital yesterday reviewed the preparations for the programme to be held at the Indira Gandhi pratishthan on August 22, it said.
The chief secretary instructed the concerned officials that the responsibility of bringing the 1,316 students to the event rests with the respective district inspectors of the schools.
Ranjan also called for making appropriate arrangements for the guardians of the students at the event.
