Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday said that all the government and private degree colleges of Kashmir division shall remain closed till March 15 due to current snowfall.
As per an order issued by Higher Education Department, the colleges have been directed to remain closed, an official here said.
Meanwhile, Udhampur District Development Commissioner Yasha Mudgal, in view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions in the district, ordered for closure of schools falling in the hilly areas of winter zone.
All the schools falling in the hilly areas of winter zones of the district shall remain closed from March 13 to March 15.
Udhampur Chief Education Officer was asked to ensure compliance of the order in letter and spirit, an official said.
