UP Board Exam Result 2020: Sick, Disabled and Elderly Teachers Will Be kept Away from the Evaluation Process

The evaluation process is all set to begin from tomorrow by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP). Due to on-going COVID-19 lockdown, the evaluation was put on hold. After so much delay in UP Board Result, the evaluation process has been resumed for UP Board Class X and XII, answer sheets checking process is beginning from May 05, 2020. More than three Crore copies to be evaluated this year. There are approximately 275 evaluation centres of UP Board across the state.

 
Sick, disabled and elderly teachers will be kept away from the evaluation process starting from tomorrow.
Secretary Nina Srivastava in a letter sent to all Divisional Joint Education Director and District School Inspector on Saturday directed that physically disabled teachers, teachers who are not well and the teachers or over 65 years of age will not be a part of the evaluation process. Around 146755 teachers will be on duty to check around 30 million copies of high school and intermediate. Of these, 3257 teachers are 65 years of age or older. According to the new guideline, these more than three thousand teachers will not be engaged in the evaluation work.
 
In 75 districts, 275 assessment centres have been set up. The centres have either PAC battalions stationed or have quarantine centres ready.
 
Teacher MLA Suresh Kumar Tripathi wrote a letter to the Deputy Chief Minister and the Minister of Secondary Education regarding the assessment on Sunday. He says as per the current scenario there is only one way of evaluation that answer sheets can be done from home and examiners should be given fixed time for the evaluation. This will also save the teacher from the epidemic and will also make the assessment work. This will be in the interest of students, teachers and society.
