NEET UG Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to begin the counselling for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 soon. The MCC will issue a detailed notification and schedule regarding the same soon. The notification will be released on its official website i.e. mcc.nic.in.

According to the schedule, the NEET UG 2024 counselling date was expected to be announced on 24 July 2024. Earlier, MCC issued an official notice requesting medical colleges to submit the MBBS seat matrix on its official portal by 20 July 2024.

On July 23, the Supreme Court announced that the NEET UG 2024 exam will not be cancelled. Following the court's decision, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the NEET UG 2024 final results would be announced within two days.

The Supreme Court's hearing was based on the conclusion of an expert panel from IIT Delhi, which determined that the 'ambiguous' question had only one correct answer. Previously, the NTA had awarded four marks to candidates who provided one of the two 'correct' answers, which the Supreme Court has now deemed incorrect.
