NEET MDS 2024: Ministry of Health reduces qualifying cut-off, Revised results releasing soon

NEET MDS 2024: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has reduced the qualifying cut-off percentile for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024. The qualifying percentile has been lowered by 21.692 across all categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC, and UR-PWD. 

According to the official notice, the NEET MDS 2024 Revised Cut-Off has undergone significant changes. The new qualifying percentile for the General category and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) is now 28.308, a drop from the previous 50 percentile. 

Also, the revised cut-off for SC, ST, and OBC categories, including persons with disabilities (PWD) under these categories, is now 18.308, down from the previous 40 percentile. The UR-PWD category now has a revised cut-off of 23.308, reduced from the earlier 45 percentile.

The NEET MDS 2024 examination was conducted on 18 March 2024, and the initial results were released on 3 April 2024. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official MCC website for any further announcements regarding the revised results, cut-off details, and counseling schedules.

The reduction in the NEET MDS 2024 Revised Cut-Off is in line with the Dental Council of India (DCI) regulations and aims to address the concern of vacant seats in MDS programs across the country. 

The official notice mentions that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has been directed to release the revised results, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to take necessary action based on the new cut-offs.
